On Thursday, 21st September, Crewkerne RFC was delighted to welcome Mayor Alice Samuel to the club. During the visit, the Mayor officially presented the Youth section with brand-new tackle equipment, generously funded through a grant received last year.
The event marked a proud moment for the club, as the new equipment will play a key role in supporting player development across all youth age groups. Mayor Samuel took the time to walk around the pitches, meeting players and coaches, and watching each age group train with the new equipment in action.
The visit highlighted not only the value of community support but also the importance of investment in grassroots rugby. The grant-funded equipment will ensure that the club can continue to provide high-quality resources for young players, helping them build skills in a safe and structured environment.
Crewkerne RFC would like to extend its sincere thanks to Mayor Samuel for her support and to everyone who contributed to making this opportunity possible. This investment in our youth section is a vital step in building a strong future for both the club and the wider community.
