About Crewkerne RFC

Crewkerne Rugby Football Club is a vibrant community-based rugby union club located at the George Reynolds Centre in Crewkerne, Somerset. Founded in 1975, the club proudly competes in Counties 3 (Somerset South) with its 1st XV, supported by additional senior, veteran, and social XVs, while maintaining a thriving junior setup from U7 through U19 (including girls’ teams) .

Training takes place twice weekly (Tuesdays and Thursdays), with regular matches on Saturdays and Sundays. The club’s black and red colours are emblematic of its identity. Backed by over 170 members—including adult players, juniors, and social members—it counts 14 qualified RFU coaches and continually fosters youth development since launching its structured junior programme in 2012.

Crewkerne RFC is dedicated not only to competitive rugby but also to inclusiveness, offering playing opportunities for male and junior participants. Currently the club does not have a womens team due to lack of interest in the area, but he club hosts weekly touch sessions on a Wednesday that are open to anyone 16 or above.

Whether you’re taking your first step into sport or seeking competitive adult rugby, Crewkerne RFC offers a welcoming environment for all ages and abilities. Join us at Henhayes and be part of our community!
